Prospective members must join the STAR Touring & Riding Association upon the completion of their third chapter ride. The prospective member must be voted into the Chapter by a simple majority vote of the members present at the time of the vote. a. Prospective members may include his/her spouse or partner as Chapter members at the same time.
b. At the conclusion of 3 rides, the Shepherd shall report his/her observations and recommendation to the Sergeant at Arms.
c. The Sergeant at Arms shall make his/her recommendation to the chapter President at the first meeting following completion of their 3 rides.
d. The chapter President will call for a vote of the membership present at that regular meeting using paper ballots.
e. The chapter President will collect the completed ballots, and will count the ballots after the meeting.
f. The chapter President will first notify the prospective member whether he/she has been accepted by majority vote.
g. The chapter President will announce the results of the membership vote at the next regular chapter meeting, and, if applicable, will introduce the new member.
